Golden Township Park Ordinance

Ordinance No. Two


The Township of Golden Ordains:


Article I

This ordinance shall be known and may be cited at the “Golden Township Park Ordinance.”

Article II

The purpose of this ordinance is to regulate the use of public parks and public streets used as water access areas.

Article III

Camping:  No overnight camping shall be permitted in township parks and water access areas.

Article IV

Signs:  No private advertising or other private signs shall be permitted.

Article V

Unlawful acts:  The following act or acts shall be unlawful:

A.  To destroy, damage or remove any tree, shrub, flower, plant, bush or to destroy, damage, deface or remove any township property or park improvements.

B.  To remain in said park areas or water access areas between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. unless written permission is secured from the township supervisor.

C. To use loud speaker, public address system unless written permission is secured from the township supervisor.

D.  To build fires except in designated places or stoves.

E.   To deposit garbage, refuse or trash originating outside parks in park receptacles or to deposit garbage, refuse or trash except in designated receptacles.

F.  To take to or haul on beach areas any time, metal or glass containers.

G.  To operate any motor vehicles except upon approved roads or drives.

H.  To park except in designated parking areas and except in a designated manner.

I.  To permit animals off leash or to ride or walk horses in said parks.         

J.  To carry or have in possession any fire arm or explosive material.

Article VI

Penalties:  Any violation of this ordinance shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not to exceed $100.00 or 90 days in the county jail or both such fine and imprisonment.











Effective Date.

This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon 30 days after publication.
